Heroin is a journey that changes a life and it is never in a good way.  Quite simply, heroin can ruin your life.  People battle the addiction of heroin every day.  Some never recover as they fall victim to overdoses and other extenuating circumstances tied either directly or indirectly to heroin that can end a life.  There are those, though, who do manage to recover; to get out of the nightmare that a life on heroin becomes..

Do you ever wish you could just tell others how you feel? On one hand you want to stay anonymous yet on the other, you really just need to get your story out.  You may even read someone else’s story about heroin and feel motivated to tell your own.  Yes, their story is heartbreaking, sometimes hopeful and always life changing.  You know it is true because you went through it, too.  Your story, however, is different in this way or that and those details are as unique as you are.

The reality of heroin is something that only a person who is addicted and his loved ones can understand.  It takes over your life and changes your path.  It takes you through roadblocks you may never have imagined.

Share your story here. Let others know what heroin did to you.   Break free from the memories and share them so they no longer have a power over you.  In doing so, you will help not only yourself but perhaps someone else along the way.  This is the place where you are free to tell your story and share the nightmare that heroin really is.  You will not be judged. You may, in fact, be helping someone else to say no based on what you went through.  Your story deserves to be told, you deserve to be heard, and somewhere out there, someone is going to read your story and understand that they, too, deserve a chance at a normal life again.
